Today we are extremely excited to announce that Dell will be joining the Fall 2014 season as Major League Hacking’s presenting partner.   Over the last few months, we’ve been working closely with our friends at Dell to design a partnership that is truly focused on improving the hacker experience and helping Major League Hacking scale our support to hacker communities and hackathons of all sizes, shapes, and types around the world.

If you were at MHacks, PennApps, or HackISU this season, you’ve already had a sneak peek of some of the awesome-sauce Dell and MLH have in store.  For starters, Dell is powering our professional quality live stream run on a beefy Dell Precision T7610, our Hardware Lab, hacker jerseysgaming relaxation lounge, photography services and photobooth, Local Hack Day, and our numerous other mentorship and support resources for hackathons worldwide.

Dell is also working with us to help upgrade the technology that student hackers have access to, both at hackathons and in their daily lives. We are providing Dell Venue tablets and XPS laptops as hacker prizes this season and we are bringing loaner Dell monitors and XPS and Alienware laptops for hackers to use if they do not have their own. We truly believe that no hacker should be prevented from participating in a hackathon by his or her financial resources, and this partnership is helping to make that dream a reality.

“We are excited to provide a platform and the technology for tomorrow’s entrepreneurs and innovators to push their creativity and limits.”  Lorrie Schultz, Dell Executive Director Consumer, Small Business and Retail Marketing

The MLH team has a passion for helping student hackers be successful and are thankful every day to have the opportunity to work full time on supporting them.  Dell’s passion for our community and their decades of experience helping people use technology to realize their dreams is already having a huge impact on hackathons and we cannot wait for you all to see what else we have in store this year.

Thank you all, and Happy Hacking with Major League Hacking powered by Dell –
Jon, Swift, and the MLH Team
