To get more students involved in cloud and open source technologies, Redis is thrilled to be partnering with Major League Hacking’s 2024 Hackathon Season. Developers can now enter their Redis Stack-based projects in the Most Creative Use of Redis Cloud Challenge for a chance to win exciting prizes!
Redis and Major League Hacking (MLH) are excited to announce a partnership that aims to empower and inspire hackers globally! To get more students involved in cloud and open source technologies, MLH – a global community powering the next generation of developers – is hosting the Most Creative Use of Redis Cloud Challenge. Hackathon teams can enter projects that leverage the rich features of the world’s fastest and most flexible in-memory database.
“Our developer relations team is excited to be working with MLH to introduce the next generation of software developers to Redis in such a fun and impactful way,” said Paul Ford, Vice President of Developer Relations at Redis. “We’re looking forward to seeing what people create and the innovative ways they use Redis.”
Build your next application with Redis Stack
Redis is widely known as an open source, in-memory data store used by millions of developers as a database, cache, streaming engine, and message broker. Voted the most ”loved” and “admired” NoSQL database for seven years running in the annual Stack Overflow global developer survey, Redis is at the center of an engaged community of developers, architects, and open source contributors.
Redis Stack provides a complete developer experience with data models and processing engines that offer the simplicity, performance, and reliability of open-source Redis. Redis Stack is available as software or in the cloud, works with the most popular programming languages, and can be added to any existing application. It’s the easiest way to build real-time applications that scale and perform.
Developers can learn more about how to use Redis Stack at their next hackathon by taking a free online course offered by Redis University. Currently, signups are being accepted for the next course, Probabilistic Data Structures with Redis. Joining the course will teach you to use probabilistic data structures in Redis Stack that help you efficiently make sense of massive data sets.
Every course at Redis University has a Discord channel with instructors on-hand, making it an ideal place to grow your skill set as a student. You’ll get the opportunity to interact with other students and always get the answers you need quickly.
Try the Redis Challenge at your next hackathon
Starting today you can use Redis Stack in your next MLH hackathon project and enter the Most Creative Use of Redis Cloud Challenge for a chance to win a Libre mini computer with Redis Stack pre-installed for you and each of your team members.
